Golf is indeed a game of a lifetime and PGA Golf Professional Judd Stephenson has devoted his professional life to the improvement of those whom he is in contact with on the practice green, the golf course and the golf range.
Judd is the 2011 Northern Ohio PGA Golf Professional of the Year as selected by his fellow PGA Golf Professionals, an award based on his accomplishments as a teacher, leader, player and administrator of the Game of Golf. Judd is a gifted and versatile communicator and instructor, whether helping a large group of Juniors a small group of Seniors, a few in a ladies clinic or a corporate clinic of over 100 people. Janice Moodie, LPGA will be offering lessons and on course and group instruction at Avon Oaks beginning this season. Janice's LPGA playing experience will be particularly valuable and she shares certifications with the LPGA and Titleist Performance Institute ("TPI"). Janice represented Europe three times as a Solheim Cup player in 2000, 2003 and 2009. She secured two official victories on the LPGA at the 2000 ShopRite LPGA Classic and the 2002 Asahi Ryokuken International Championship, as well as two non official victories in the Hyundai Team Matches with Lorie Kane.
Todd and his wife Lindsey reside in Broadview Hts. Ohio. They moved to Ohio in April, 2012 after meeting and getting married in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Todd's family is originally from Ohio while Lindsey was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Todd was laid off from The Plain Dealer in 2008, and saw the opportunity to get back into the golf business when he enrolled in The Golf Academy of The Carolina's in Myrtle Beach. As a Graduate in August 2010, Todd was already employed as am Assistant Golf Proffessional at The World Tour Golf Links in Myrtle Beach. While working down there, the opportunity came when a local PGA Professional recruited him to come back home. Rick Gripp from Signature of Solon offered Todd a position as an Assistant in April of 2012. Within a week, Todd and Lindsey got married, moved to Ohio, and started new employment. With changes at Solon, Todd sought out more stability of a club and joined AOCC in March, 2014. Todd is a Level 1 PGA Apprentice and currently working towards his Class A PGA. Lindsey is part of the Management Team in downtown Cleveland with The Ritz Carlton.
Erin started in the golf business working at the Range at Avon and knew she wanted to make a career out of it. She worked at Avon Oaks in the pro shop during college, where she went to The University of Findlay. At Findlay she had 2 top 10 finishes and was medalist at the John Speith Memorial Tournament carding a 75. She was Co-Captain of the women's team her senior year. After college Erin entered into the PGA and started work as an assistant at Fox Meadow Country Club. From there she became and assistant/merchandiser at Fairlawn Country Club and most recently was the first assistant at Rosemont Country Club. Erin loves working with the juniors. She has helped grow the junior golf programs at numerous clubs, including coaching the PGA Jr. League team for Rosemont, where 2 of her students were selected to the All-Star team and made it to the Finals in Disney World. Erin has also coached the Archbishop Hoban girls golf team during the 13-14 season, taking them from 4-8 to 10-2 record. She then went on to coach the Copley boys golf team during the 15-16 season and had one player qualify for the district tournament. Erin currently lives in Norton with her boyfriend and two dogs, a Boston terrier named Rigby and border collie named Colbert, and a cat named Charlie.
